Olivia Wood, Co-Editor in Chief, Staff Writer

Just by looking at the walls of her house or the covers of her notebooks, you can tell that NKHS senior Olivia Wood (Liv to most) is a talented artist. Some of her art pieces reflect the many places she’s traveled— her favorites being Costa Rica and Cambodia— while others are renderings of her friends, who she loves to spend time with. Liv is a natural born documentarian, never leaving her North Kingstown residence without a disposable camera, and a woman of culture; one of her favorite childhood movies was Beverly Hills Chihuahua. Though Liv appeared in NKHS’s production of Mamma Mia! last year, she harbors a secret hatred for the song “Dancing Queen,” because it’s so overplayed. When not in rehearsals, Liv can often be found playing on the tennis courts with NK’s varsity team, playing the viola, in dance classes, trekking over mountains of homework, or listening to Phoebe Bridgers, Fiona Apple, and Jeff Buckley. Though she dreamed of becoming an artist, actress, or astronomer when she was a kid, she now plans to pursue a career in journalism and minor in either anthropology or global studies. Liv cannot wait to travel the world and tell all its hidden stories.
