Letter to the Editor: Clever not so smart

NKSD should take Clever off of the Chromebooks.  This past year, the Clever extension was added to school issued laptops.  Every time you open up a new tab the Clever screen pops up with a display of links.  Instead of making it easier for students to get the websites they need to use, Clever just slows everything down.  Adding bookmarks to your google account essentially does the same job as Clever but in a more efficient and customizable way.  Before incorporating more programs like this in the future, the school department should ask the teachers and students about their opinions and experiences in order to make learning easier for everyone.
