SAT Announcement

Juniors, it’s that time of year- SATs! As the end of March approaches, we are getting closer to the SATs. This year, the date for the SATs is Wednesday, April 10, 2024, at NKHS. The SAT is one of the most substantial assessments for high schoolers, which is usually a considerable stress factor. Some people may take practice tests through Khan Academy, SAT prep classes through school house, or other SAT prep classes.

One of the main reasons people strive to get good scores on the SAT is college. Some colleges have dropped the requirement for score submission due to COVID-19. Still, some are bringing the submission back or even submitting the scores mandatory when applying to schools such as Yale University and Dartmouth College. When considering applying to colleges, you should check the school’s requirements on SAT score submission.  Some may require you to submit them, and some may not.

Before the SATs, you should get a good night’s sleep. Eight hours or more is ideal, and have a solid, healthy breakfast the morning of. You might want to ensure you have everything you need the night before so you don’t need to rush the morning.

Good Luck!
