This past week, math teacher Mr. Jordan Albernaz hosted a canned food drive that doubled as a competition between advisories for an Allie’s Donuts party. The cans are being collected for the North Kingstown Food Pantry.
Monday, Nov. 14, was the last day for the drive, and the collection shown in the photo is only a fraction of the yield. According to Albernaz, over 700 cans were donated.
Your donation will support the student journalists of North Kingstown High School. Your contribution will allow us to distribute a print edition of the Current Wave to all students, as well as enter journalism competitions.
Just by looking at the walls of her house or the covers of her notebooks, you can tell that NKHS senior Olivia Wood (Liv to most) is a talented artist. Some of her art pieces reflect the many places she’s traveled— her favorites being Costa Rica and Cambodia— while others are renderings of her friends, who she loves to spend time with.
