Joywave is an American indie rock band from Rochester, New York. “Golden State,” consisting of an upbeat and catchy melody, is part of their album “Koda Vista,” released March of 2012. Joywave will be performing at the WBRU Summer Concert Series on July 17 in Waterplace Park, Providence.

“California Nights,” Best Coast:

Bethany Cosentino’s vocals provide a soulful and soothing delivery of “California Nights.” Alongside guitarist Bobb Bruno, the musical duo formed in 2009 and have since released two studio albums.

“Lane Boy,” Twenty One Pilots:

“Lane Boy” is part of Twenty One Pilots fourth studio album, “Blurryface,” released May 19, 2015. This song contains lead singer Tyler Joseph on vocals and Josh Dun on guitar. Electronic mixed with drums, “Lane Boy” provides a unique sound that demonstrates the talent of Twenty One Pilots.

“The Wolf,” Mumford and Sons:

“The Wolf” is from Mumford and Sons most recent album, “Wilder Mind.” Taking their music in a new direction, the British rock band leaves the banjo out of this new album. Even without their signature instrument, Mumford and Sons continue to amaze with the soulful sound of this new album.

“Oblivion,” Grimes:

Claire Elise Boucher is a producer, artist and musician. “Oblivion” comes from her third studio album, “Visions.” Her work is a mix of electronica, pop, hip hop, R&B, and medieval music. This combination contributes to the particular sound that Grimes portrays.

“Quesadilla,” Walk the Moon:

American indie rock band Walk the Moon has met great success with their recent album “Talking is Hard.” From their previous album “Walk the Moon,” “Quesadilla” exhibits a positive and upbeat vibe.

“Greek Tragedy,” The Wombats:

From Liverpool England, The Wombats are an indie rock band whose music has touched people everywhere. “Greek Tragedy” comes from their album “Glitterbug” released April 13. This song has a somewhat edgy feel that also gives off a catchy tune.

“Pop Thieves,” Childish Gambino:

Donald McKinley Glover Jr. is an actor, writer, comedian, rapper, singer, and record producer. He is also known by his stage name Childish Gambino. “Pop Thieves” is taken from “STN MTN / Kauai,” the combined release of the seventh mixtape and second extended play created by Gambino.

“Lost in the Light,” Bahamas:

The soothing, folk music of Afie Jurvanen shows in his song “Lost in the Light.” The Canadian musician has released three studio albums under the stage name Bahamas.

“A Walk,” Tycho:

“Dive” is the third album released by artist Tycho. It consists of songs such as “A Walk” that have a relaxing and electronic sound with an absence of vocals. Scott Hansen is the artist behind the music. He is a music artist and producer from San Francisco who is also known for his photography work.
