Luke Patterson, Staff Writer
Sophomore Luke Patterson has no known familial relation to James Patterson, but he wouldn’t mind if this staff bio lied. Regardless, he loves to tell stories just as much as the author that shares his surname. Luke was born and raised in the same North Kingstown home his entire life, but he hasn’t always stayed there; his favorite trip of all time was to Portugal, where he snorkeled in the beautifully clear water. Some of Luke’s hobbies include running, skateboarding, swimming, and playing drums in his band Lizard Queen. He might have a mild dent in his chest that renders him easily short of breath , but that doesn’t stop Luke from singing with his friends. His dream career is to be a musician, and he really wants to start playing the bass guitar his father won in a radio contest. Since March, Luke has been aiming for the unconventional and hypothermic goal of going for a swim everyday of the year. If he could live in any fictional world, you’d find him in the mystical land of Adventure Time, where he’d love to be a weird side character.
