Giacobbe ‘makes a Kobe’ by joining special ed department
October 25, 2022
On the first floor in room 106 you will find a teacher named Ms. Andrea Giacobbe. This is Giacobbe’s first year at North Kingstown High School as a teacher, working with students with special needs. While most students may not know who she is yet, Giacobbe can always be seen walking around with her students with a smile, and even took time to introduce me to a few of them during hall passing time.
Originally from Medway, Mass., she took part in sports like rowing, basketball, field hockey, and lacrosse in high school. She spends her time reading, and loves to bake whenever she can. She also loves to go out kayaking whenever it’s a nice enough day.
Attending the University of Rhode Island, she obtained her bachelor’s degree in elementary education. After college she made the decision to stay in Rhode Island to continue teaching. She taught at Pathways in Coventry before coming over to North Kingstown this year.
Giacobbe claims that if she could visit any country she would pick Italy, because of how beautiful it is. While teaching has been her dream, she says she would love to open and run a bakery if she didn’t teach.
