On Friday, Oct. 18, junior Mia D’Andrea attends the Pep Rally concluding the 2024 Spirit Week. Compared to previous years, many students were not as pleased with this Pep Rally. Mia was one of those students who noticed a drastic difference in how not only the Pep Rally was conducted, but Spirit Week as a whole. She explained how there were many last-minute changes that made it confusing for the students. “It’s been a bit of a rough rally,” Mia said. “I wish there was better coordination. It would’ve made Spirit Week a lot more fun.”

Sophia Azzolina, Staff Writer
Sophia Azzolina is currently a junior at North Kingstown High School. She decided to take journalism this semester because she has always enjoyed writing and is considering journalism as a future career choice. Although Sophia typically writes short stories, she is excited to experiment with a different style of writing. She is most eager to report on current events and politics. Sophia partakes in the school's Symphonic Band and Senior Jazz Band, playing the alto saxophone, and also is a member of the debate club. Aside from writing, she enjoys crocheting, reading, baking, and listening to music.
